Pornhub has finally removed Girls Do Porn from its platform

There has been a small victory in the darker corners of the internet but its one that sets a very good precedent, even if it is a long time coming.

That victory has to do with Pornhub finally acknowledging the harm that the production company Girls Do Porn has done to women. As such the adult video site will no longer be hosting content from Girls Do Porn according to a report by Vice.

The reason for this decision goes back to June of this year when 22 women sued Girls Do Porn for alleged fraud, emotional distress, damages and misappropriation of their likeness.

A report by Motherboard in September highlighted the fact that a Girls Do Porn cameraman was allegedly told by the production firm’s owners to lie to women and tell them that their performances would only be made available in limited release on DVD.

Shortly after filming however, the women learned that their videos had been posted to Pornhub and other adult video websites where they were doxed and harassed by folks online.

The Girls Do Porn owners Michael Pratt (apt name) and Matthew Wolfe are currently being sued by the aforementioned women and also face charges of federal sex trafficking.

While Pornhub has not officially commented on the removal of Girls Do Porn from its platform, a search of the website yields no official results from the production house.

That having been said, the nature of online porn means that the content is more than likely to still exist in the form of reuploads using obfuscated titles and compilation videos.

As of time of writing, Pornhub has not officially commented on the removal of Girls Do Porn. When it does, we will be sure to update this story.
