htxt.africast – Hasbro toys and Need for Speed: Heat

It’s another late week edition of the africast this Friday afternoon, so turn it on and let’s sale into the weekend.

Our shorter stories this month are around the new Pokémon games and the fact that Cell C may be acquired by Telkom. Both of these are in their early days as Sword and Shield only launched today, and the official news of the acquisition was also only made public today. We’ll have updates on both in the near future.

We go into more details with our first main story, that being a trio of Hasbro toys that we got to play around with. All three share the fact that they’re taking old concepts or licences and giving them a new spin. For Transformers there’s a unique way to combine them, for Nerf the engineering is much better than we remember, and for Monopoly it’s now branded with Fortnite, complete with new rules.

Finally we talk about the newest entry in the Need for Speed franchise. Heat may have its problems but it looks like a return to form for the arcade street racer after a few previous titles may not have been what everyone wanted.
