The winners of the FNB Business Innovation Awards 2019

The FNB Business Innovation Awards 2019 have reached their conclusion and the winners in each category have been announced.

The awards were conducted by FNB Business together with Township Entrepreneurs Alliance (TEA), 10Xe, and Endeavor South Africa.

The judging process considered a number of factors including environmental sustainability, stakeholder relations, social responsibility and quality of governance.

In the R0 – R5 million turnover category, Umgibe Farming Organics and Training Institute scooped top honours. The business wins marketing and branding to the value of R150 000, 24 months of mentorship from FNB Business, 1 million eBucks, a business cellphone package from FNB connect and a coffee hour with a member of FNB’s executive committee.

In the R5 million+ turnover category IOT point of sale system pioneers, Marc1 Dot Com won out. Founder Muhammad Simjee has won the opportunity to participate in the 10X Accelerator programme.

Finally, in the R10 million+ turnover category the winner was Aerobotics. As winners in this category, Aerobotics will be invited to the Endeavor International Selection Panel where it will be able to pitch the business to panel of business leaders, meet investors and more.

Our best chance at solving unemployment and boosting economic growth in our beautiful country rests on the success of such businesses,” chief executive officer at FNB Business, Mike Vacy-Lyle said in a statement.
