Watch Katie Hopkins get pranked with a fake award

Have you heard of the Cape Town Collective for the Freedom of Speech? Neither had we but it appears as if Katie Hopkins was a fan.

We say this because Hopkins was willing to fly to Prague to receive an award from the organisation this week.

The catch is that the Cape Town Collective for the Freedom of Speech is fake and so was the award.

YouTuber Josh Pieters cooked up a scheme to present Hopkins with a fake award with the intention of pranking her. The award in question is the Campaign to Unify the Nations Trophy, which just so happens to create a rather rude acronym.

The creator set up a fake website, hired actors and hired out a hotel room to present Hopkins with the award, planting several red flags along the way. It appears as if Hopkins was unable to identify any of these red flags including the fact that the founder of the Cape Town Collective for the Freedom of Speech looked like an old man but was only 17.

We don’t want to spoil too much of the video though because Pieters really deserves your view for his efforts.

We must caution our readers regarding the content within the video. As the thumbnail suggest, there is harsh language and the comments uttered by Hopkins are racist, bigoted and offensive. Hell, even the actors can’t pretend to laugh at some of her disgusting jokes.

The controversial journalist, who freely shares her divisive opinions on any platform that will have her, was ousted from Twitter earlier this morning.

According to a report by the BBC, Twitter said her account was suspended for violating its anti-hate policy.

“Keeping Twitter safe is a top priority for us – abuse and harassment have no place on the service,” said Twitter.

At least she has the memories of doing shots out of her trophy.

Congratulations to Hopkins on the award, she truly deserves it.
