Marvel serves up teaser for WandaVision, Loki & Falcon and Winter Soldier during Super Bowl

This past weekend was Super Bowl LIV (54), and was great to watch if you were a Kansas City Chiefs fan, but for the rest of the world it was the adverts that proved more important. Disney+ fans in particular got something to enjoy with Marvel releasing a teaser for three of its upcoming shows and a new spot for Black Widow.

We’ll touch on the Romanov-focused flick shortly, but first it’s worthwhile looking at what we saw for the three other shows. WandaVision in particular caught our attention, with it serving up a bunch of different realities in which we see Scarlett Witch and Vision.

Whether this is part of a dream sequence is unclear, but seeing as how Scarlett Witch’s powers come from the Reality Stone, a more psychedelic take for the series might be worthwhile and help differentiate it from the other Marvel properties.

We also got to see Sam Wilson’s Falcon give Captain America’s shield a try in the teaser footage, as well as Bucky Barnes squaring off against Baron Zemo. It still remains to be seen if the latter will be donning his iconic purple getup from the comics, along with knowing if either Falcon or Winter Soldier will indeed become the new Captain America at the end of the series.

The Loki teaser did not offer much, apart from our favourite god of mischief seemingly being locked up in some sort of intergalactic prison. It seems fans have already figured out where exactly that is, however.

As for Black Widow, it too does not feature much in terms of new footage, apart from seeing Taskmaster doing a nifty trick with a shield. Instead of offering up something new to fawn over and dissect, this Super Bowl spot was aimed at keeping the momentum and interest for the film alive until its 1st May release date.
