Dimension Data is now a preferred partner for implementing SAP solutions on Microsoft Azure

There is change afoot with the SAP product eco-system and Dimension Data is now in a prime position to help firms navigate those changes.

This is thanks to NTT (a global technology services company) earning the SAP on Microsoft Azure advanced specialisation. If you’re scratching your head about how this relates to Dimension Data, it represents NTT in the Middle East and Africa region.

In short this means that together with NTT, Dimension Data can assist firms who are looking to migrate their SAP environments to the newer, faster SAP HANA database.

This is rather important as mainstream support for the SAP ECC platform ends in 2027.

“The SAP on Microsoft Azure advanced specialisation highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to migrating enterprise SAP applications over to Microsoft Azure. NTT clearly demonstrated that they have both the skills and the experience to offer clients a comprehensive and professional SAP to cloud managed service,” said corporate vice president of One Commercial Partner at Microsoft, Gavriella Schuster.

The SAP on Microsoft Azure advanced specialisation is a rather notable achievement considering just eight companies have acquired the accreditation.

Earning that accreditation requires passing exams, having certain certificates from SAP and being a part of the SAP PartnerEdge programme.

“This recognition of our SAP and Microsoft Azure skills and expertise is great news for enterprises across the region looking for a partner that understands and is highly skilled in ensuring that their cloud strategy delivers the required business outcomes,” said chief technology officer at Dimension Data, Jay Reddy.

“Adding this certification to all our globally recognised skills certifications from all major cloud and business application providers, gives organisations choice, flexibility and confidence that we can execute their cloud strategy with the right combination of infrastructure, platform and applications for their business,” added Reddy.

For local firms using SAP on Microsoft Azure it should be good news that a highly capable partner is able to assist in the migration to the SAP HANA database.
