Anybody who is looking to get their learners or drivers license is well aware of the study material which usually takes the form of a physical book.

While ebooks for the K53 tests have been available for some time now, today you may be interested to know that AutoTrader has made several study guides for the K53 learner, driver and motorcycle license available online, for free.

“As one of SA’s leading online auto trading sites, we have the opportunity to assist many South Africans,” chief executive officer at AutoTrader, George Mienie told Wheels24.

“Obtaining a driving license is a necessary step toward finding personal mobility,” Mienie added.

The guides are quite light weight in terms of download size which is great in a country where data is sold at a premium. The learner license guide is tiny at just under 10MB while the drivers license and motorcycle license clock in at 16.6MB and 13.1MB respectively.

The guides are incredibly detailed with everything you might expect. There are explanations for various road signs, road markings and rules of the road contained in the guide. The best part is it’s all free.

AutoTrader has also filmed a few parking and driving tips for those learning to drive, including how to parallel park.

In addition to all of this the website also contains all the application forms you need to fill out to take the learner, driver and motorcycle license tests.

It’s all pretty nifty and the fact that’s its completely free makes it even better.

You can find all the resources outlined above at this AutoTrader sub-site.
