Doom Eternal is close to release so we’re starting to get more and more reveals to keep the hyde train going. The latest of these is a short trailer showing off personalisation options for the Doom Slayer, with something special set aside for Twitch Prime subscribers.
While our favourite of the bunch is the classic Doomguy look (see above) Twitch Prime is getting the unicorn skin and a bunch of others in what is called the “DOOMicorn Slayer Master Collection”.
“In addition to the DOOMicorn Slayer skin, this content drop contains a host of magically menacing cosmetics! Catch opponents off-guard in BATTLEMODE with the Clip Clop Stance animation or show off your Magic Meadow base podium – an upgradable platform for displaying your favorite skins,” reads an announcement from publisher Bethesda.
The collection includes the following:
- ‘DOOMicorn’ Slayer Skin
- ‘Purple Pony’ Skin Variant
- ‘Night-mare’ Skin Variant
- ‘Magic Meadow’ Base Podium
- ‘For Those Who Dare to Dream!’ Maxed-Out Podium
- ‘Clip Clop’ Stance Animation
- ‘Haymaker’ Intro Animation
- ‘Horsing Around’ Victory Animation
- ‘Love Conquers All’ Player Icon
- ‘Super Sparkle Slayer’ Nameplate & Title
Those who want all of the above need to link their Bethesda.net account to their Twitch Prime account using this link. The collection then needs to be claimed from Twitch between 20th March and 21st April. As a reminder Doom Eternal launches on 20th March.
The multiplayer portion of 2016’s Doom died rather soon after launch, so here’s hoping more exciting skins will do a bit to keep people playing this time around. While 2016 did feature customisable cosmetics for the multiplayer, they were a bit on the generic side and far from the interesting stuff shown off in the short trailer below.
Skins and other cosmetics will also be available in singleplayer, so you can marvel at your cool forearms while killing demons in first person.
“Conquer Hell’s armies in style! Unlock various skins, animations, and podiums by playing DOOM Eternal. Personalize your DOOM Slayer for photo mode and the single-player campaign. Then, slay with your friends in BATTLEMODE, where you can personalize your DOOM Slayer and playable demons,” reads the trailer description.
