Ruiner’s Switch port arrives next week

Ruiner – Devolver Digital’s 2017 cyberpunk title – is finally heading to the Nintendo Switch in just one week, launching onto the portable console come 18th June.

Despite being the maiden outing of developer Reikon Games, Ruiner was positively received by both the press and the public. At the time of writing it has just over six thousand reviews on Steam, with 90 percent of them being positive. This leaves the game with a Very Positive overall rating.

“RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired psychopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend. Combine preternatural reflexes, augmented tools, and the arsenal of fallen foes to tear down and dismantle the corporate titans of virtuality dealers at HEAVEN,” reads the description of the game.

To go along with this news we get a flashy new trailer which shows off the massive amount of style Ruiner exudes at every single point.

Unfortunately no Nintendo eShop page is up yet so we’re not sure just how much “Switch tax” we’ll all be paying once it lands on that console.

It should be noted that Ruiner was also available as part of Xbox Game Pass at one point allowing subscribers to play for no additional charge. Unfortunately it has since been removed from there so the opportunity to give it a go for free has passed.

We did play a few hours when that opportunity presented itself which acted as a nice demo. We’re sure many who did the same may make the conversion to Switch should they want to continue playing on Nintendo’s console.

Ruiner is also available on Steam, GOG, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Right now the GOG is also discounted by 75 percent.
