How to get free McDonald’s chips from Uber Eats this week

Today, 13th July, is apparently National French Fries Day. While we simply call then “chips” in South Africa, the local arm of Uber Eats is offering some free stuff from McDonald’s this week.

For one week certain orders made on the Uber Eats app will qualify for a free serving of large chips from McDonald’s. All you need to do for your order to qualify is for the total to be R120 or over. If it is, simply add the free large chips to your order.

According to an email sent out by Uber Eats the value of the large chips is R24.80, so it’s a nice little bonus if you were already thinking of ordering from McDonald’s.

Before you open the app just keep some terms and conditions in mind. Firstly, while it is available across South Africa, the specific branch you order from may not be participating, so try shop around if the free chips don’t show up for you.

Next is the fact that this special is available only once per account so you can’t get multiple free items if you order multiple times this week. It’s also worth noting that this cannot be combined with other offers and promotions.

Uber Eats and other delivery companies are pumping out promotions like this so often to entice those stuck at home, so that last stipulation may be worth remembering.
