Death Stranding has a successful first day on Steam

Around 24 hours ago Death Stranding landed on PC and it has been doing rather well on Steam.

At the time of writing the game currently has a “Very Positive” overall review standing with 93 percent of the 2 291 reviews being positive.

Looking through some of those user reviews and there’s the pre-requisite repeats of the positive aspects of the game which people have been discussing since it launched on PS4 back in November of last year.

As for port-specific comments things look smooth overall but there are quite a handful of negative reviews talking of performance problems and crashes. Digital Foundry, a very reliable source when it comes to the technical side of games, gave Death Stranding a good bill of health with some small problems. That being said it’s worth reading some of those negative reviews before making a purchase.

Death Stranding is also available on the Epic Games Store but, as it doesn’t have any kind of review or user comment system in place, we can’t glean the same information that we can from Steam.

If you’ve already made the plunge and put some hours into the title on PC the developers want to see your images captured with the game’s photo mode. “Yesterday we welcomed the PC community to DEATH STRANDING! Now, we want to see where you are on your journey and we want to see your first photos! ???? Want to be in with a chance of being featured on http://deathstrandingpc.505games.com/ later today? Link us up to your best captures in the comments below,” an update for the game reads

Those comments are not below, but rather here on the Steam forums.

All of this is rather promising for Horizon Zero Dawn, another game that was previously a PlayStation 4 exclusive that will be making the jump to PC come 7th August. All we can hope for is that it doesn’t have another massive price increase before then.
