Logic has reportedly signed a seven figure deal to stream exclusively on Twitch

Last week Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, more commonly known as Logic, announced that he would be calling it a day in the music industry.

The rapper announced that he would retire upon release of his forthcoming album No Pressure, but it seems Logic will remain in the public eye.

That’s because Hall will be streaming through Twitch exclusively in a deal that is worth seven figures according to a report by The Verge.

“I’m blessed enough to have millions of fans and followers. So it is a great partnership,” Hall told The Verge.

“I’m going to bring new eyes to their service, they’re going to bring new money to my bank account, and — I’m just kidding,” the rapper added.

This is a rather big deal as Hall is now the first musician that Twitch has signed an exclusive deal with.

Make no mistake though, this isn’t some publicity stunt where a big musician joins a Twitch stream. Hall is a big gamer and has streamed on Twitch previously with his most recent stream taking place just last week. He even has his own YouTube channel where he’s showcased games before though in recent years it has been populated with vlogs.

As for what the stream will focus on, Hall is adamant that he wants his channel to be a place where he and his fans can relax.

“I’m not going to be on Twitch, having political debates. I’m going to be on Twitch, helping people after they’ve had a day of protesting or political debates, unwind and laugh and smile. And if you want to know how I feel about the world, you listen to my music,” Hall told The Verge.

Of course Twitch while Twitch is predominantly used by gamers, there are a fair few number of musicians on the platform as well. Guitarist and lead vocalist for Trivium, Matthew Heafy has been streaming for a good few years already and showcases both his music and games.

We’re unabashedly big fans of Hall’s music and we’re keen to see what he does on Twitch whether it’s games or music, even if he is now retired.
