Fall Guys ‘Battle of the Brands’ charity bid currently at $422,222.22

Last week Fall Guys initiated “Battle of the Brands”, a bidding war to see which person or company could pledge the most amount of money to charity, with the winner getting a skin put into the game.

As explained on Twitter, the Battle of the Brands is a way to harness the “unreal thirst’ from brands hoping to advertise themselves in the game which has had a massive popularity wave.

The contest has been running for a week now, which marks the half-way point. At the time of writing the current leader is YouTube channel FV FAMILY, which has committed to a donation of $422,222.22 (~R7.1 million).

The mockup of the FV FAMILY player skin, which you can see in full here, is a bit aggressive but we’re sure Fall Guys developer Mediatonic is happy to see it over the alternative.

This is because, for a while, the leader of the bidding war was Bidet company, TUSHY. It’s skin was a simple T-shirt reading “ask me about my butthole“. Mediatonic does have final say on what skin goes into its game, and it has already declined a large donation from pornographic game platform Nutaku.

With a week to go for Battle of the Brands we wouldn’t be surprised to see the dollar amounts go up even higher. Fall Guys has proven to be so popular we expect that number to pass the million dollar mark before things end.

As a reminder the money raised here is going straight to UK charity Special Effect, which focuses on helping those with disabilities access videogames.
