Tom Holland gives a welcome update on the Uncharted movie

Reliable leaker and occasional Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has given us a brief, but appreciated update on the embattled Uncharted movie.

The movie based on Nathan Drake’s exploits has had several delays and director changes over the years. Right now it seems to be on track with Holland playing a young Nathan Drake and Ruben Fleischer sitting in the director chair.

On Instagram Holland went live for about 10 minutes. The video is still up on his profile and we’ve embedded it below.

The relevant section is near the beginning in which someone asks Holland how the shooting for the movie is going, to which he replies:

“Filming is going so well. It’s everything I dreamed it would be. I mean I don’t know if you guys played the games, but I was such a huge fan.”

The actor then goes on to talk about a large bruise he acquired. From the context it sounds as if this was picked up while filming Uncharted, but it’s not directly stated. Anyone who has played any of the games knows that the protagonist gets put through hell, so the actor playing him being bruised up wouldn’t be too much of a surprise.

For now it seems like we all have to wait for more information about the movie, but at least things are trucking on for now, bruises and all.

For those who enjoy behind the scenes content Holland provides it for another movie – one that has actually been released in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The scene embedded below, in which Peter Parker returns to his room and Ned Leeds discovers his secret identity, was apparently extremely difficult to pull off.

This scene is a bit infamous for the part where Ned drops the LEGO Death Star, and seven fully built sets had to be “destroyed” to get the gag right.
