Where to stream President Ramaphosa’s address this evening

Early on Wednesday the South African Presidency confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation.

The address follows a meeting with the National Coronavirus Command Council on Monday, a meeting with the Coordinating Council on Tuesday and a special sitting of Cabinet expected to be held today.

“The President’s Coordinating Council is co-chaired by the President and the Deputy President and brings together Ministers, Premiers and the leadership of the South African Local Government Association and National House of Traditional Leaders,” explained the Presidency.

The address also comes off of the back of several rumours that South Africa will move to level one of lockdown restrictions but these are simply rumours at this stage.

The address will kick off at 19:00 this evening and as always you will be able to stream it online.

To that end there are already several streams ready to kick off at 19:00. Our best recommendation is the SABC as the stream starts promptly and since lockdown began it’s been very stable.

Should you prefer another source, News24 has also setup its stream which can be found here.

Another way you could stream live news is through Showmax Pro.

Showmax Pro features 24 hour live news as well as sport but does cost R449 per month.

For now then we recommend checking out one of the streams we’ve linked above.
