AURA selected to participate in Africa Early Stage Investor Summit

Earlier this year we had a chat with AURA, a firm which is looking to democratise private security through putting vehicles and staff to work more often.

It’s a fantastic platform that we’ve been following closely since we spoke and this afternoon we received word of an exciting development.

AURA has been selected to participate in the virtual edition of the African Early Stage Investment Summit and Venture Showcase happening on 3rd and 4th November 2020.

“We are thrilled to be selected to be part of VC4A’s Venture Showcase and the African Early Stage Investment Summit and look forward to playing an even bigger role in delivering innovation into the rest of the continent,” said AURA founder and chief executive officer, Warren Myers.

The African Early Stage Investment Summit and Venture Showcase aims to highlight the best start-ups on the African continent. The event, hosted by VC4A, brings together start-ups and over 350 investors with an appetite for African innovation.

AURA is one of 10 startups participating in the showcase.

The other star-ups participating include:

  • Wapi Pay – Kenya
  • SeamlessHR – Nigeria
  • QuickCheck – Nigeria
  • Gozem – Togo
  • GLU Global – South Africa
  • Fulfillment Bridge – Tunisia
  • Chefaa – Egypt
  • Aspire Power Solutions – Nigeria
  • AFRIKAREA – Côte d’Ivoire

The showcase not only offers up a platform to allow these start-ups to meet investors but they also stand to win prizes.

Courtesy of AWS Activate, the selected cohort will get AWS (Amazon Web Services) credits ranging from $10 000 to $25 000, tools, resources and more to get them started on AWS.

Best of luck to all the startups.
