Yip, Rambo is koming to Mortal Kombat 11

The Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 11 has just been revealed with three fighters: Mileena, Rain… and John Rambo.

Yes the game that already features RoboCop, the Terminator, DC’s Joker and more will once again crossover with another franchise for this new DLC.

And it’s not just some random voice actor providing the vocals here either. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon confirmed on Twitter that it’s none other than Sylvester Stallone as the voice of Rambo.

Those who have been following this game for a while may not be too surprised by this announcement. A certain subset of the community has been asking for Rambo for some time now, especially as a RoboCop and Terminator exist in the game already. The addition of Rambo as another ’80s movie icon just fits right in.

We have a quick trailer to go along with the announcement which shows a Tarkata being caught in the middle of a fight between the three characters. Unfortunately we don’t actually get to see Rambo fighting, just shooting his gun around randomly into the air.

Putting aside the fact that bringing a firearm to a fist fight is a bit unsporting, in promotional art we can also see Rambo using a bow and arrow.

As mentioned Rambo will be part of the Kombat Pack 2 which can be bought separately but is also included in Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate. The official Mortal Kombat site also shows that pre-ordering the DLC will unlock the “Time Warriors” skin pack.

In other fighting game crossover news upcoming 3D mech title Override 2 will feature three playable characters from the famous Japanese franchise Ultraman.
