Fatal Falls is paid Dead Cells DLC coming 2021

In the first quarter of 2021 roguelike Dead Cells will be getting another paid DLC called Fatal Falls.

Developer Motion Twin has announced the new content together with a very short teaser trailer (see the embed at the bottom of this story) and a Steam page you can visit to wishlist the new content.

“Gain a sharp and somewhat overprotective aerial ally as you fight through two new biomes and a boss! Challenging level designs will force you to rethink your approach in this new mid game content designed to add variety to your runs and continue support for the development of the game,” reads the description on Steam.

From an announcement here we know that the two new levels are called Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores.

“The two new biomes… are a parallel to the Stilt Village, Clock Tower & Time Keeper areas and their alternate paths. So if you need a break from getting slaughtered by undead pirates or hearing ‘Let’s finish this’, then you’re in luck!” Motion Twin adds.

When Fatal Falls releases on PC and console it will cost $4.99. The previous paid DLC for Dead Cells, The Bad Seed, has the exact same price. Thanks to this we know that, in South Africa, that $4.99 will have a regional price of R42.

For those who haven’t played Dead Cells it’s a side scrolling roguelike with a big focus on satisfying combat and Metroidvania mechanics. It comes recommended from us and if you bought and started playing it right now you’d likely still be working through all its content by the time Fatal Falls is released.

Dead Cells is available now on Android, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
