Destiny 2 players have spent over 7 million hours in the Deep Stone Crypt

The latest Raid in Destiny 2 has been the talk of the community for the last few weeks so let’s continue that discussion.

While most conversations are regarding the difficulty of the Raid and the number of people who have cleared the activity, in the latest This Week at Bungie update the developer shared some interesting numbers.

The headline number for us is the total number of hours players spent in the Raid so far.

That number is 7 156 651 hours but that only takes into account the first ten days of the Raid’s release.

Bungie also revealed the total number of hours spent in the two other Raids still available in Destiny 2.

For comparison, in 11 days following launch players spent 2 807 504 hours in Garden of Salvation and 2 185 983 in Last Wish.

The comparison table follows below.

Launch +10 Days Stats Last Wish Garden of Salvation Deep Stone Crypt
Unique Raid Activity Clears 3 555 33 152 258 049
Total Player Hours 2 185 983 2 807 504 7 156 651
Total Kills 338 667 495 446 461 881 1 100 488 566
Total Deaths 32 734 027 42 676 699 85 008 596

[/su_table]

Yes you are reading that right, there were over a billion enemy deaths in the first 11 days of the Raid’s launch.

The numbers above point to the wider conversation we mentioned above in that Deep Stone Crypt is easier than other Raids.

Unfortunately, looking purely at these numbers, it’s hard to make that call.

For one, Deep Stone Crypt released 10 days after Beyond Light went live and many more players were able to hit a point where they were “Raid ready”.

There’s also the matter of Deep Stone Crypt being farmable what with the final chest allowing players to acquire gear they have already unlocked albeit with different stat rolls. We suspect that this is another reason so many more players have completed the Raid.

On a separate note, players who have been looking forward to the return of Trials of Osiris will have to wait until 18th December to jump back into the pinnacle PvP activity.

In the meantime, farm the Deep Stone Crypt, everybody is doing it.
