With the notable increase in COVID-19 cases locally, South Africans will be addressed by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday evening.
The address follows meetings with the National Coronavirus Command Council, the President’s Coordinating Council and cabinet at the weekend.
While we don’t want to speculate, given the drastic increase in COVID-19 cases in South Africa, this address is likely going to be an important one.
The Presidency confirmed earlier today that the address would take place at 20:00.
President @CyrilRamaphosa will address the nation at 20h00 today, Monday, 14 December 2020, on developments in relation to the country’s response to the #coronavirus pandemic. https://t.co/S9ecJ8kln1

As with all the addresses which have taken place in 2020, this one will be live streamed online for those of us who don’t have a TV.
The SABC has its stream up already and you can set a reminder by heading to the SABC YouTube channel here. Here’s hoping YouTube remains accessible.
You can also find the eNCA stream here.
Finally if you find no luck with those streams, News24 is also a good option.
We highly recommend following the Presidency Twitter account for updates straight from the Ramaphosa’s office. This account is also very good at relaying information during the address so if you can’t be near a TV, or radio and you don’t have the data to stream, this is a good option.
