Fall Guys gets live action ‘holiday special’ and a free costume

Fall Guys, one of the biggest if not the biggest games to be released this year, is capping off 2020 with a holiday special and some free content for players.

The live action video can be watched below and, despite technically being an indie game, there’s a hell of a lot of production value here. It’s also got that holiday movie look that you can recognise.

Aside from a swish trailer there’s something for the players. Between now (21st December) and Christmas (25th December) there’s a free costume in the game’s store. The holiday costume seems to be a loose Father Christmas design with yellow goggles.

“Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 3 decks the halls with wintry wonders today, delivering a flurry of festive mayhem, including new rounds, dozens of fresh costumes and a whirlwind of new features that are truly the snowy peak of Fall Guys tomfoolery! Be sure to wrap up your beans and get ready to slip, stumble and slide your way to the crown!” reads the description of the event.

That’s not all that happened in the world of Fall Guys in the last day.

The game’s developers Mediatonic have introduced a costume based on popular streamer Ninja.

Unlike other crossover costumes – such as Sonic and Godzilla – this costume set only costs two crowns to complete instead of 10.

Since the introduction of this costume lobbies have been filled with players using it. Between the popularity of Ninja, the cheap price of the costume and Mediatonic’s calls for everyone to use it, you’re probably going to see it for a good while when playing the game.
