Disco Elysium: The Final Cut heading to all current platforms & consoles in 2021

Last night at The Game Awards 2020, ZA/UM showcased a new trailer for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.

For those who don’t know about the game, Disco Elysium released on PC last year and is an award-winning open world RPG.

In Disco Elysium, you are a detective with a unique skill system at your disposal and a whole city block to carve your path across. You can interrogate characters, crack murder cases, or take bribes. You can, “Become a hero or an absolute disaster of a human being” and it’s all rather intriguing.

You can check out the trailer shown off at The Game Awards 2020 below

While all of that sounds great on paper, there seems to have been some confusion that arose as a result of the subtext displayed within the trailer not explicitly mentioning the new Xbox Series consoles or Nintendo Switch. ZA/UM have however confirmed the following via a press release:

– Definitive edition of the game Disco Elysium: The Final Cut announced
– Available across all current platforms March 2021 (free upgrade for all existing players)
– Available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from March 2021
– Available on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch from Summer 2021
– Collector’s Edition and vinyl soundtrack from iam8bit, and new official merch available for pre-order.
