The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has changed how students interact with the NSFAS Wallet when it comes to resetting, unlocking and unblocking.
As of today the previously used email avenues for these functions – NW1@nsfas.org.za and NSFAS Connect – will no longer be used.
These will be replaced by a system called NSFAS Chat which has been summarised into this infographic by the organisation and we’ve elaborated on below.
Reset your NSFAS Wallet
- Log into your NSFAS account (my NSFAS) on www.nsfas.org.za
- Click on “NSFAS Chat”
- You will be connected with a consultant to reset the wallet
- Provide your ID number, cell phone number and email address to continue
Unlock your NSFAS Wallet
Send an email to unlock@nsfas.org.za with the following details:
- ID number
- A copy of your ID
- Full names and surname
- Cellphone number
- Email address
- Physical address
- Postal address
- A full description of your query
Unblock your NSFAS Wallet
Send an email to unblock@nsfas.org.za with the following details:
- ID number
- A copy of your ID
- Full names and surname
- Cellphone number
- Email address
- Physical address
- Postal address
- A full description of your query
