GOG is giving away Hellpoint for the next two days

E3 is still going on right now with the ultimate goal of selling you more games, but GOG is simply giving one away for the next two days in the form of Hellpoint.

Released in July last year Hellpoint is a third person action RPG developed and published by tinyBuild.

“Once a pinnacle of human achievement, the Irid Novo space station has fallen. Its ruins are now overrun by cruel interdimensional entities acting as puppets of the malevolent Cosmic Gods. You have been created by the Author, organically printed on Irid Novo and sent on a mission to find out the unholy series of events that led to the catastrophic incident known as the Merge,” reads the description of the game.

To get the game simply go to this link (the GOG home page) and log into your account. It should be noted that, while this is a free game, you will be joining up to the GOG newsletter by doing so.

We’ve been subscribed to this newsletter for a while now and the majority of what GOG sends to inboxes is notices of sales and discount codes. While that sounds great they can get to be a bit much. For example in May our one account received 17 emails from the company.

If the space in your inbox is worth that much to you jump on in, especially if you’re going to be buying a lot of games from GOG anyway.

As for the quality of the game let’s look at the reviews on GOG itself. It has a four out of five star overall rating and a 3.9 out of five from verified owners.

From all accounts it seems like a decent middle of the road game that is now free for everyone this week.

Speaking of free games don’t forget to claim the excellent title Control from the Epic Games Store. It’s still available until 17th June and it reminded us a lot of the new Loki series.
