Over the past few years Binging with Babish has exploded on YouTube as the channel seeks to recreate food from games, movies, TV and other fictional universes. Now the tables are a bit switched as Babish himself appears in The Sims.

As you may have guessed from this premise the latest video from Binging with Babish was sponsored by EA to promote the Cottage Living expansion for The Sims 4 releasing tomorrow on 22nd July.

For this sponsorship several dishes from the game were recreated in real life, and an approximation of Babish was shown in The Sims 4.

We’re not sure if EA made a special model for the YouTuber or he was simply made using the character creator, but the result (see the header image above) is rather convincing.

Babish can also be added to the game for those playing Cottage Living.

As for the food itself this video tackles a few dishes: macaroni and cheese (in two different ways), eggplant parmesan and baked Alaska.

Will we be buying ingredients and attempting these at home? As for most Binging with Babish videos the answer is almost certainly no but that eggplant parmesan, or “Parmigiana” if you want to be fancy, does look great even though we’re not the biggest fans of eggplant. Maybe once lockdown restrictions are loosened, and we can get vaccinated, we’ll order this one at a restaurant.

Similarly the baked Alaska looks like an oddity worth trying when you’re not the one going through the effort of applying dangerous flame to ice cream.

Out of curiosity we opened up Uber Eats to see if any restaurants happened to have either of these dishes on offer for delivery. Some restaurants popped up when we searched the terms but it looks like it was just focusing on the words “eggplant” and “baked” and showing us results related to hose instead of the specific dishes. Maybe that’s just in our area and you can find these oddities on your app from a local business.
