Business Partners Limited is giving away R30k to one entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs and even aspiring entrepreneurs may want to heed a call for entries into the SME Toolkit – Business Partners Ltd Business Plan Competition for Aspiring Entrepreneurs.

While the name is rather long and convoluted, the competition itself isn’t and if you have a great business idea then it might be worth entering.

The competition has been running for 12 years now and is open to entrepreneurs of all ages. Simply entering is a good idea as you will get access to virtual workshops and support groups.

Participants will need to attend these workshops as they will cover how to develop a business plan, marketing strategy and a cashflow forecast. These plans will then count as your entry into the final stage of the competition.

That final stage involves submitting a business plan. Only six finalists will be selected to continue to the national judging phase but those six finalists will receive mentorship vouchers worth R10 000.

From there a national winner and runners-up will be announced. The Winner will receive a mentorship voucher as well as a cash prize of R30 000.

“This competition provides the perfect platform for individuals to test whether their business idea is viable, so we encourage everyone to enter, whether they’re sure of wanting to take the leap into entrepreneurship or if they’re just looking for an expert opinion on whether their idea can work. Last year we saw entrants of a very high calibre with exciting ideas including our national winner with their peer-to-peer online tutoring business. We’re looking forward to welcoming even more innovative ideas this year,” group enterprise development manager at Business Partners Limited, Petro Bothma, said in a statement.

To enter the competition head to this website but hurry because entries close on 15th August. The actual competition only finishes in 2022, but workshops will be conducted in August and September.

If you have a great business idea, give this a shot, at worst you get to attend a few workshops that can help you hone your idea.
