After countless delays the Black Widow solo movie is finally out… if you happen to live in a country that has access to Disney+ or where the theatres are open.

Unfortunately South Africa is not one of those countries with the level 4 lockdown prompting Disney to move the release of the movie once again to 13th August.

For local gamers, and people in other countries with similar limited access to the movie, there are alternatively to getting your Black Widow fix.

Those alternatives are the games Marvel’s Avengers and Fortnite, both of which have rolled out premium costumes based on the white “Snow Suit” that has been used extensively throughout the marketing for the game.

Starting with Marvel’s Avengers and the white suit is now available in the game’s shop.

Back in May Black Widow was the focus of a new limited-time event in the game called ‘Red Room Takeover’. That event unfortunately ended on 31st May, so even though they’re promoting the movie now, that content is locked away.

Strangely the Red Room Takeover introduced another white suit in the form of the “Widow’s Origin” outfit seen at the end of this trailer. This is different from the MCU Black Widow Snow Suit, which you can see below.

As for Fortnite it also ran a limited-time event based on the character. The Black Widow duos tournament took place way back in November 2020, another sign that this movie has been complete and ready to be released for more than a year.

Unlike Marvel’s Avengers, Fortnite offers you more than just the white suit. Included in this bundle is the famous electric batons or “Eskrima sticks”, something we featured as a 1:1 scale 3D printed prop back in May 2018.

These weapons are still used as a Black Widow mainstay years later.
