Latest Dune trailer gives us better look at the Fremen and Harkonnen

To say that we have been eagerly awaiting the release of Denis Villeneuve’s first Dune film would be an understatement. Like many movie projects of late, the release of Dune has been delayed, and at the time of writing, 22nd October has been slated as the most up-to-date release in cinemas and HBO Max.

In order to tide us over until then, Warner Bros. has dropped another trailer for the film, with this one being far more action packed than the one. we saw last year.

In it, we get to see more visuals for the hostile planet of Arrakis, along with a better look at some of the waring factions that take centre stage in the movie. Namely the Houses Atreides and Harkonnen, as well as the natives of Arrakis, the Fremen.

While it still remains to be seen how the end product will be received, given the divisive opinions on the 1984 David Lynch work and the low box office return of Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.

Given that we are fans of the director’s work to date, not to mention the series from Frank Herbert, this is one we’re very excited to watch in cinemas and hopefully on IMAX, which is the format such a film deserves. Whether we’ll be able to do so given how COVID-19 has ravaged the entertainment industry locally, is unclear for now.
