LeBron James goes from Space Jam to Fortnite

LeBron James is bouncing from franchise to franchise, now landing in Fortnite with several skins including one based off of Space Jam.

From 14th July the basketball star will be available in Fortnite as a series of cosmetic DLC as part of the game’s Icon Series. The Icon Series has, in the past, featured many real world celebrities such as Travis Scott and Richard Tyler Blevins AKA Ninja.

For LeBron James there are several skins available all sporting the Nike LeBron 19 shoes. There’s also the Lion Pickaxe, Wingspan Glider and a dance called The Silencer. Alll these cosmetics have a slider which allows you to increase the amount of gold in each.

The announcement for these cosmetics states that this glider brings with it 20 variations, some of which can be seen in this separate video here.

There is also, of course, the aforementioned Space Jam on-court outfit based on the upcoming movie A New Legacy which launched this week on 16th July.

The last outfit here is more casual wear based on tacos for some reason.

“And when the game isn’t on the line, crunch time takes on a whole new meaning for LeBron. Celebrating Taco Tuesday, the Tune Squad LeBron Outfit also includes the LeBron’s Taco Tuesday style Variant and Pack Supreme Back Bling — letting you take a guac on LeBron’s wild side,” reads the announcement.

To coincide with the launch of all of this there is, as usual, a short trailer which you can watch as an embed at the bottom of this post.

For those who actually wanted to see LeBron James your wishes have been answered because his Twitter account has a video available here. It’s interesting to see that the main black suit outfit in the game was replicated in real life for a piece of advertising that is 30 seconds in length.
