Marvel Disney+ shows are now collectible minifigures

LEGO’s long-running series of blind bag collectible minifigures will now move into the MCU, specifically the Marvel shows that have aired on Disney+.

As South Africa is one of many countries that still doesn’t have any access at all to Disney+, these minifigures can be considered spoilers so back out now if you want to go into these shows completely blind.

This series has 12 minifigures available which is common enough but we really think it could have been larger, especially considering the vast amount of characters in the MCU, even if you only count those that have appeared in the Disney+ shows so far.

LEGO.com has provided names for all 12 of these figures but things get complex when you consider superhero names, aliases and the fact that in the upcoming What If…? show different established characters will be taking on the names of other characters.

Below is the list of names. In brackets are additions we added to try and make things clearer.

• The Scarlet Witch
• The Vision (reanimated white version)
• Monica Rambeau (Spectrum suit)
• Winter Soldier
• Captain America (Sam Wilson)
• Loki (TVA uniform)
• Sylvie (Lady Loki / Enchantress)
• T’Challa Star-Lord
• Captain Carter
• Gamora with the Blade of Thanos
• Zombie Hunter Spidey
• Zombie Captain America

It’s interesting here that the name “Zombie Hunter Spidey” is given to this figure, as it’s a version of Spider-Man which becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. This is a bit of spoiler as it indicates that the zombie episodes of the What If…? series will intersect with Marvel’s magic universe. It seems that with the power of magic Peter Parker is fighting zombies.

More interesting details can be found when looking at the released images in the gallery above. The alligator version of Loki comes with Sylvie but, for some reason, it doesn’t have the familiar horned helmet that it had in the show.

Sticking with the Loki show and Throg AKA Thor Frog is bundled with the TVA uniform Loki. This makes it our most wanted out of the lot especially because the Throg piece is an entirely new mould.

For those who don’t usually pay attention to LEGO but want to collect these you don’t need to suffer through buying endless blindbags or picking the ones you want and paying extra through resellers.

Many small toy stores will be nice enough to either open the bags and sell them as is, or spend hours feeling for specific parts and then selling them on as identified figures for the convenience of their customers.

You will need to call around depending on where you live but it’s worth it to not have to overspend.

Speaking of pricing each figure in this series will cost $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49 overseas. In South Africa no official pricing has been revealed yet but you can expect to pay between R70 and R100 each going off of the pricing of past series. The international release date for these is 1st September which is when we’ll likely get them in South Africa too.
