The new Huawei MateBook 14 is built for the modern workplace

This month Huawei has updated its MateBook lineup for 2021 and brought with it a range of new devices to South Africa. One of the standout new arrivals is the MateBook 14, which features the latest silicon from Intel, along with a bevy of enviable features to deliver a device purpose-built to handle whatever is thrown at it.

With the past two years offering all manner of unexpected events, the MateBook 14 is designed to never falter, leaving its users safe in the knowledge that they have a powerful and elegant notebook at all times.

While there are many elements worthy of highlighting on the MateBook 14, there are a handful that warrant special mention.

Built to perform

Starting with what you’ll be looking at day in and day out, Huawei has fitted this new 2021 model with a 14″ 2K (2160×1440) touch-enabled display that yields a brilliant and bright viewing experience. In the world we live in now, the quality of the display has become more important than ever and now users will have a device capable of presenting all those video calls and streaming content in superb quality, making the MateBook 14 ideal for during and after work hours.

With a screen that does not hold anything back, Huawei has taken a similar approach for the internals powering the MateBook 14.

These include the latest that Intel has to offer and in particular an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor that is paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics. With the launch of Windows 11 on the horizon, the MateBook 14 is certainly a notebook that will bring the operating system to life, along with being well specced enough to handle any processor-intensive tasks that your job may demand.

When those long sessions do come, the MateBook 14 features an ultra-thin fan blade design to produce 50 percent better heat dissipation compared to previous generations.

While many of us are homebound for now, during those spells when access to power is not readily available, the MateBook 4 boasts a 56Wh battery that delivers up to an impressive 11 hours of battery life. This means that you are sorted in terms of power for your nine to five when emergencies hit, along with being able to take this notebook on the run when you need to as well.

When you are in a bind in terms of power, the MateBook 14 also features quick charging functionality that can give you up to 2.5 hours of battery life from as little as 15 minutes of charging.

As such, Huawei has ensured that the MateBook 14 has you covered.

For those looking at something a little more cost savvy, there is also the MateBook D 15 i3 worth considering. Featuring a large and crisp 15″ display, along with a solid Intel Core i3-10110U processor powering things, it is well appointed for those studying or learning from home.
