Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Series lands in SA this month

A few years ago, the number of solid options in terms of well specced and priced mid-range phones was slim, but the entry of Chinese phone makers like Xiaomi has meant the options available to cost savvy South Africans are endless. The latest options joining the ranks at Xiaomi are its new range of Redmi Note 10 devices – the Redmi Note 10 Pro, Note 10S and Note 10 5G, all of which are available to purchase in SA this month.

Vodacom is the first carrier to feature the Note 10 Series, with the Pro model available to purchase as of 15th July. The rest of the series will be available at the end of July, with retailers like Takealot also making the lineup ready to purchase in the coming weeks.

While each of the models in the lineup feature unique specifications and selling points, there are a handful of elements that can be found throughout, with large displays between 6.4″ and 6.7″, along with equally large batteries around the 5 000mAh mark. The same goes for pricing, with the range starting from R4 500 and topping out at R5 500, depending on which option you go for.

The key specifications for the entire range are as follows:

Xiaomi South Africa also confirms that those who order any of the above devices via Vodacom will have their phone bundled with a pair of Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 and/or the Mi Smart Band 5 for a limited time only.

Along with the three new smartphones, Xiaomi has a freshly minted wearable ready to launch in SA too – the Mi Smart Band 6 (in Black). The focus for this device is fitness, with it featuring a 1.56″ Amoled touch display, movement tracking, support for 30 different workout modes, Sp02 monitoring and sleep tracking.

Added to this is a listed battery life of up to two weeks, 5 ATM water resistance and a recommended price tag of R799.
