New Nokia C30 boasts 6 000mAh battery and R2 300 price tag

The lineup of Nokia Mobile devices runs a fairly wide gamut these days, with the entry-level end of the spectrum seeing the company’s C series proving particularly popular in South Africa.

Now the C series has a new device in its ranks in the form of the Nokia C30, which is slated to land locally in early October.

There is no precise date in October yet, but Nokia Mobile has shared pricing details for this upcoming release, as it is set to retail for R2 299 (RRP).

Along with the aggressive pricing, the Nokia C30 boasts a few other noteworthy elements, such as a massive 6 000mAh battery that lasts up to three days. This aspect in particular is one that HMD Global, which manufactures Nokia Mobile phones, is wanting to hammer home with the C30 and the C series in general.

“More than half of smartphone users say that daily battery life is the most important battery feature for their needs. The Nokia C30 is an answer to what people have been asking for – more time between charges, more screen, our signature security and durability, and the same accessible price point,” notes Florian Seiche, CEO at HMD Global.

As for some of the other highlights on the device, a large 6.82″ HD display is on offer, along with a 13MP primary and 2MP depth sensing cameras on the rear. Added to this is dual SIM functionality, with 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a fingerprint sensor on the back for biometrics.

While it remains to be seen of the Nokia C30 continues the recent tradition of the C series and its local popularity, this latest device will likely prove tempting for cost savvy consumers.
