Oppo A16s arrives in SA for R4k

If you thought Oppo was being a little quiet of late the company has just announced the availability of its latest smartphone locally – the Oppo A15s.

This device sits between the entry-level and mid-range space, with Oppo aiming for it to be a hot for those who are more savvy when it comes to buying smartphones.

To that end the Oppo A15s carries a recommended price tag of R3 999, with it available on contract for an estimated R229 per month, depending on the network operator.

What does R4k buy you?

Running through the specs sheet of the device a few of the highlights include a massive 5 000mAh battery that is said to yield up to two full days of use from a single charge.

Added to this is a 6.52″ HD+ display, a trio of lenses on the rear comprising of a 13MP main, 2MP depth and 2MP macro. There’s an 8MP selfie camera up front too.

Keeping things churning is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 chipset that clocks at a respectable 2.3Ghz, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The Oppo A16s will be made available locally in either Pearl Blue and Crystal Black.
