The Asus ZenBook 13 OLED makes content bloom into life

When it comes to the premium Windows 10-powered notebook landscape, Asus has been making a name for itself with the ZenBook range, which serves up powerful specifications in a thin and lightweight metal chassis.

It has proven a winning combination in recent years and, for the 2021 refresh, Asus has added a panel to the mix. More specifically it has updated its lineup with the introduction of the ZenBook 13 OLED.

While previous iterations were designed for those who wanted a no nonsense notebook that could go a full day and then some, the addition of a new panel means the ZenBook 13 OLED should appeal to those working remotely, as well as those who create content daily.

A brilliant palette

To that end, the OLED NanoDisplay on the new ZenBook 13 features ultrathin bezels to place content front and centre, which is particularly important when focusing on editing video.

Added to this is a FullHD resolution that delivers 1920×1080 visuals, while the introduction of OLED ensures colours are presented in a vivid fashion. There’s support for HDR content too, along with 400 nits of brightness to keep content true to life.

For those doing graphic design or publishing work, the ZenBook 13 OLED is also equipped to support 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, as well as Pantone validated and TÜV Rheinland certified, which is an important factor when working on content for clients who demand top quality.

Shifting away from the new panel, Asus has also worked hard to deliver a superb all-around experience on this premium notebook.

This as it boasts up to 13 hours of battery life on a single full charge, which means bouts without access to a plug point or electricity in general will not result in panic. On the rare occasions that you do need a quick bit of juice though, the ZenBook 13 OLED features fast charging which takes you from zero to 60 percent capacity in just 49 minutes.

It does not stop there, however, as the Taiwanese manufacturer has kept this powerful notebook supremely thin and lightweight too, measuring only 13.9mm tall and weighing in at just 1.14kg, meaning portability has been addressed.

Well appointed

Speaking of performance, the ZenBook 13 OLED can be specced in up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, as well as up to a 1TB PCIe SSD and 32GB RAM, with WiFi 6 and a bevy of Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C ports keeping you connected at all times.

Lastly, Asus has added a nifty feature with the need to work from home rising of late. Here the ZenBook 13 OLED features AI noise cancelling to isolate unwanted noise when on team or client calls thanks to machine learning. It would also come in handy if you are out of the office and need to conduct some videoconferencing.

With there being a growing need to upgrade your notebook to better enable a productive work from setup, look no further than the ZenBook 13 OLED, which now sports a panel that content creators will love.
