Back 4 Blood launched last week on 12th October as an Xbox Game Pass day one inclusion, meaning subscribers could jump in without paying anything extra, but it seems that many still prefer to outright buy their games on Steam.
The latest zombie shooter managed to claim four spots in the top 10 Steam seller list as compiled by the Steam Database (SteamDB), a third party site that monitors the Valve store.
Because of the way store listings work on Steam one game with multiple purchasing options – usually different editions – can appear more than once on the list, which has happened here.
Back 4 Blood not only claimed the top spot but also third, eighth and ninth.
The full list of Steam top sellers by revenue generated last week is as follows:

- Battlefield V
- Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles

Claiming silver in this list is the Amazon Games MMO New World which was the Steam top seller last week.
The Riftbreaker and Demon Slayer are both new inclusions here which have managed to break into the top seller club without some of the excitement of the other games here. Interestingly The Riftbreaker is also available through Xbox Game Pass for PC so it’s another title that players are choosing to buy instead of effectively rent through Microsoft’s subscription service.

Notable missing items on the list include Battlefield 2042 which had second, third and fourth on last week’s list. Without the hype created by the beta it seems pre-orders for the game have slowed down.
Battlefield V, on the the hand, has sold a decent number of copies thanks to another 90 percent off sale.
Finally the Valve Index VR kit also didn’t place. This VR hardware usually nabs at least one spot on the list but missed things here.
