Forza Horizon 5 goes gold, shares music

We are getting ever closer to the 5th November release of Forza Horizon 5 on PC and Xbox, and the game has gone gold with just a few weeks before launch.

According to the announcement this means that the physical versions of the game can now be pressed and the digital version is ready for “final setup”.

While this is great news we still have negative memories of the terms “gone gold” because of Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man’s Sky.

On top of the announcement of going gold music from the game has also been shared. The series is known for its great music choices and a favourite part of Forza Horizon 4 was cruising around with the in-game radio on.

To mark the occasion of going gold the playlist of Horizon Pulse for the game has been shared. The in-game radio station of Horizon Pulse has appeared in many Forza titles and features “pop, nu-disco, electronica, indie, and synthpop music” according to the Forza wiki.

You can listen to the Forza Horizon 5 version of Horizon Pulse in the Spotify playlist below. There are 22 songs which, when combined, will run for 88 minutes.

This playlist includes some familiar names like Dua Lipa and Hot Chip, as well as some artists we’re not familiar with. This is very welcome as finding new music while racing is always fun.

For those not enamoured with the choices here it’s worth remembering that Horizon Pulse is one of five radio stations available, so there will be a lot to listen to.

More radio station playlists will be revealed on Twitter in the interim before launch. The Bass Arena, Block Party, Hospital Records and XS stations are coming, as well as “Eterna”, the renamed Timeless FM station.

“To bring our fans the most realistic adaptation of Mexico, we’ve partnered closely with local Spanish language artists from across Latin America and are thrilled to introduce their music to a global audience. Check out tracks from Centavrvs, Clubz and Diamante Eléctrico on Pulse; Bomba Estéreo and the Mexican Institute of Sound on Block Party; Angelica Garcia, El Shirota and Technicolor Fabrics on XS; and Miguel Pacheco, Rodolfo Ritter and the Mexico Festival Orchestra on Eterna,” the announcement reads.
