RTMC partners with FNB to facilitate online payment for license discs

Here is a convenient solution for South African motorists, you can now register, renew and pay for your license disc via the NaTIS platform.

The payment gateway is the new arrival here and it’s enabled by FNB.

“We are delighted to partner with the Road Traffic Management Corporation to make this service possible. Covid-19 has accelerated growth in the digital and ecommerce sectors, with more consumers preferring to shop and access essential services online. By adding a digital payment option for motorists, RTMC aims to reduce cash-handling risks for all persons involved, including that of South Africans,” says chief executive for FNB’s Public Sector business, Sipho Silinda.

“This will assist in reducing operational costs and pass these savings to South Africans, through the introduction of more innovative services to motorists while maintaining the levels of service expected of them,” Silinda added.

In order to make a payment you will need to login to the NaTIS platform, select View Motor Renewals, select the license disc or car and proceed to payment. Once you have paid you can have the disc couriered or you can collect it at your nearest Drivers Licence Testing Centre.

“As leaders in digital banking, we are committed to work closely with RTMC to ensure that customers have a seamless experience when paying for services on the NaTIS platform,” the FNB exec added.

Now we just need the ability to submit eye tests, and pay for drivers licence renewals. We suppose we can dream right.
