Your Naraka: Bladepoint questions answered

Naraka: Bladepoint made a big splash when it launched in August, bringing a fighting game flair to the world of battle royales and now, as the year ends, community questions about the game have been answered.

The questions from the community, as well as the answers from the developers
24 Entertainment, can be found below.

The questions touch on most aspects such as skins, cooldowns, animations and more.

“Q: Can we have a pre-set for each hero’s weapon skins?

A: The function of customized content such as matching different weapon skins according to different outfits is already in the works, Our goal is to allow players to mix and match the appearance content more freely and conveniently.

Q: Will you consider giving a skin to Tianhai’s ult?

We love the big guy! We’re currently ideating on the design and what kind of skins would look good on his ult, so let us know in the comments if you have any ideas, we’d love to hear!

Q: Is it possible to add execution animations?

As seen in the trailers, we experimented with execution animations, but in multiplayer games, the long animation doesn’t perform well and inconveniences players. We’ll try to incorporate the execution in a more appropriate way later on.

Q: Will player’s health in duo mode be adjusted?

There will be slight adjustments, like the Tianhai ult.

Q: It is strongly recommended to use the whole three rounds of two wins in Bloodsport.

We have adjusted the gameplay, starting from the first round with the best of three games, and optimized the lineup selection process.

Q: Can you set the cooldown time of skills by yourself in customized lobby? It’s too time-consuming to practice with friends and wait for CDS.

We’re going to add full hero stat customization, skills cooldown, and more. We hope to make custom rooms more creative, and we’ll continue to add custom room support in the future.”

In the few replies to these answers it seems like what the community really wants is improvements in region locking around ping.

One comment is more local to us in South Africa and is rather concerning.

“I believe something people don’t realize is that the ping lock might prevent some regions (like most of Africa) from playing at all… And since it’s a paid game it would feel really bad,” reads a user comment.

Several other users from outside the native China where the game is made suggest maybe giving this one a miss.

Naraka: Bladepoint is available now on PC through Steam with a launch on the Epic Games Store planned for the future, though if you’d want to buy it seems to be dependant on where you live.
