LG offering free repairs and servicing on selected products damaged as a result of KZN floods

We have seen a number of companies step up in response to recent floods in KwaZulu-Natal and the devastation that it has caused for citizens in the region.

The latest to do so is LG South Africa, which has announced a free repair and serving initiate for selected products from 18th to 31st May 2022.

“In line with its commitment to support South Africa and its citizens through various corporate social responsibility initiatives, LG Electronics is proud to offer free repair and servicing of select appliances damaged by the devastation caused by recent floods in KwaZulu-Natal, as part of its Free Service Campaign,” the company explained in a press release sent to Hypertext.

Assisting with this initiative is IRS Tronics, where customers can bring their damaged products as a result of the floods from 9:00 to 16:00 between 18th to 31st May for a free repair. IRS Tronics is located at Unit 9B, Kyalami Industrial Park, 26 Kyalami Road in Westmead, Pinetown.

LG South Africa confirms that the free repair covers all mechanical failures and will include a general service, replacement of parts available locally, and labour.

Appliances eligible for repair include LG fridges, microwaves, washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, TVs and audio visual (AV) products.

“The campaign requires participants to be over the age of 18 and is limited to two appliances per participant. Repairs will be conducted over three days (depending on the availability of parts), and participants are required to pick up their appliances within 14 working days,” the company adds.
