The next big Fortnite event is called Collision, launching 4th June

In a bit of an oddity we have news about Fortnite that isn’t about a new crossover. Instead it’s of the upcoming event Collision which will be available soon on 4th June.

Collision is a one-time, in-game event that will happen at 16:00 ET. Given the limited nature of this players can que 30 minutes ahead of time to make sure they’re all ready to go when the action begins.

Anyone who logs in during this time will receive an exclusive loading screen and lobby track. In the days before 4th June the Item Shop will also be updated with new stuff including the Mecha Weapons Team Outfits.

As the end of Chapter 3 Season 2 of Fortnite, Epic Games recommends that players finish off certain events and quests before they become inaccessible. These include:

  • Completing Prowler’s Special Quests
  • Gathering any remaining Omni Chips to unlock variants of the Omni Sword pickaxe
  • Trading in any remaining Battle Stars in exchange for rewards

“Note that any unused Battle Stars will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards, but unspent Omni Chips will be lost when the season ends. As with any season, — Quests and rewards from Packs like the Golden Touch Quest Pack will carry over to the next Season,” ” the announcement reads.

“Starting on May 31 at 9 AM ET, Bargain Bin Week kicks off once again and cuts the cost of all Character services and Exotic item trades for all your remaining Bars. Remember, your Bars will expire at the end of the season. Make it rain!”

Outside of Collision there’s one last bit of Fortnite news today as Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives in the game as cosmetic DLC. The series also launches today so it’s no surprised but what is surprising is just how much the in-game model looks like Ewan McGregor, even with the cartoonish art style of Fortnite.
