Voting opens on PUBG art contest

PUBG: Battlegrounds has wrapped up entries for an art contest, but now the public needs to vote on the five finalists to determine a winner.

Between now and 8th June you can have your say with two clicks over on SurveyMonkey where the voting is taking place.

After the voting closes there will be a couple of days to finalise things and a winner will then be announced on 10th June.

“We foremost wish to thank every participant for their time and effort to share their passion and creativity to our first Fan Art Contest of the year. We’ve carefully combed through every single one of your shoe design entries to finally announce the grand Five finalists today!” the announcement reads.

“Now, during this phase of the contest, you’ll be holding the power to vote for the shoe design you’d like to see spring to life in-game! We can’t wait to see your character running through our maps with the shoes you’ve chosen!”

The art contest tasked entrants with creating a unique skin for a pair of shoes which will be turned into a skin in the game. You can these five finalists in the image below.

We’re fans of the black sneaker with the yellow PUBG accents and have left our vote accordingly. We’re interested to see which one comes out on top especially as only two of the entries are PUBG-themed and the other three are more generic.

Each finalist will receive 50 000 G-Coin, the in-game currency in PUBG. That’s quite a lot as a 13 000 G-Coin bundle, according to the PUBG fan wiki, costs $99 (~R1 540).

The winner, however, will receive real money in the form of a $5 000 prize (~R77 746) which is obviously far more substantial.
