Supa Quick and Disky partner to assist with license disc renewals via WhatsApp

Renewing your license disc in South Africa can be a challenging task even at the best of times, with licensing departments jam packed and post offices closing with regularity.

It is why local motorists will be pleased to hear that Supa Quick is offering renewal functionality at its 190 service centres across the country. The offering is thanks to a partnership between Supa Quick and online platform Disky, with WhatsApp being used to assist in the process.

To renew your vehicle license disc, you can head to your nearest Supa Quick centre scan the Disky QR code that should be present there, and then press send when prompted on your phone.

You will receive a WhatsApp message and, by following the on-screen instructions, you can make your payment and collect your license disc within five to 10 working days from the same service centre.

“The process takes just a few minutes and a service fee will be charged. All types of vehicle licenses can be renewed, including those for motorcycles, cars, trailers and caravans,” notes Supa Quick in a press release sent to Hypertext.

“We are encouraging customers to take advantage of this value-added offering and make sure they comply with the law. Anyone can apply for renewal on your behalf, and you can complete the process in-store or in the comfort of your own home,” adds Adeshni Sewbaran, franchise director at Supa Quick.

“Our franchisees are incredibly supportive of the partnership as it offers benefits for them too. The pandemic has taught us all about the importance of partnerships for growth,” he continues.

With other options for license disc renewal failing in recent years as a result of the pandemic, it is pleasing to see savvy South African businesses looking to step in.
