We may see some new Disney & Marvel games next month

Fans of all things from the house of mouse may want to mark 9th September in their calendars as the company has announced the “Disney & Marvel GAMES SHOWCASE” to take place that day.

Despite Marvel receiving special mention in the name of the event, we’ve been promised game content from many of Disney’s properties.

“The digital showcase will feature incredible new content from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games. In addition to all-new announcements, fans can expect new reveals from titles including Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, as well as a sneak peek at an upcoming Marvel ensemble game from Skydance New Media,” the announcement reads.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga already launched last year (check out our review here) so we have to assume that DLC and / or an expansion will be announced for the game.

If we had to guess it will focus on the Disney+ shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bad Batch and the unreleased Ahsoka and Andor, but that’s just speculation.

It’s interesting that Marvel’s Midnight Suns, pictured above, will get time in the spotlight as it was delayed yet again with no new release date.

As for everything else we’ll need to wait for 9th September when the event kicks off at 13:00 PT / 16:00 ET. For us in south Africa that is 22:00 so it may be a late night for those watching live locally.

While the Disney & Marvel GAMES SHOWCASE will take place in person as part of the D23 Expo – along with giveaways most people won’t be able to access – it will also be livestreamed on the following platforms:
