• Digify Africa has announced that the closing date for applications to its Digify Pro Online programme will close on 20th August.
• The 10-week long programme will focus on in-demand digital marketing skills development.

If you are interested in a career as a social media manager or other digital media-related jobs, Digify Africa has announced that applications for its Digify Pro Online programme close later this month on 20th August.

Addressing a lack of digital skills has been the focus of the company for many years now, but in 2023 it looks like Digify Africa is ramping up the frequency with which new initiatives aimed at training and skills transfer are rolled out.

The Digify Pro Online programme is described as delivering, “quality digital skills education to unemployed youth ages 18-35.”

“The programme offers ten weeks of intensive training in demand-driven digital marketing skills that can be used to connect to earning opportunities in the digital world. To date the programme has trained 264 young people across South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya,” the organisation added in a press release sent to Hypertext.

Outlining what will be covered over the aforementioned 10-week programme, the following modules will feature:

• Digital Marketing Fundamentals,
• Introduction to Social Media,
• Digital Strategy,
• Content Marketing,
• Introduction to Paid Advertising,
• Introduction to Data-led Decision Making,
• Introduction to eCommerce,
• Website Content Management Systems,
• Craft your career.

Digify Africa adds that upon completion of the above modules, successful candidates will be able to choose one elective from the following:

• Meta Digital Marketing Associate Certification,
• Google Ads and Analytics Certification,
• Content Marketing Certification.

“The programme is self-paced and entirely virtual, allowing flexible learning that fits any schedule. The teaching blends theoretical and practical skills, including weekly assessments, live briefs, and guest lectures, to help participants develop a holistic understanding of digital marketing,” noted Digify Africa of the course.

“Many of the Digify Pro graduates have been able to launch successful careers at leading companies such as Wunderman Thompson, VML, Meta, and Primedia,” it added.
