Ramaphosa is set to take the oath of office at 11:25. The President is then expected to announce his cabinet in the following days, which will be formed of ministers from the ANC’s coalition allies.

The Presidential Inauguration will see a number of delegates and heads of states from many countries in Africa and around the world, and already confirmed to be attending are the Presidents of Zimbabwe, Namibia, Angola, Congo, Tanzania and others.

South Africans will be able to watch a live stream of the Presidential Inauguration live from the official YouTube channel of the SABC, the national broadcaster. There will also be backup livestreams from other news sources, like CNN and the BBC.

The inauguration will be quite a special event, which will include a flyover by the South African airforce, a 21-gun salute and a performance from the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra.
