This week IFA 2024 kicks off, with doors to the Berlin-based technology event opening up to the public on 6th September. As is often the case with such large-scale tech events, some companies like to get ahead of the competition.
When it comes to Acer, the Taiwanese company wants to be one of the first out of the blocks, and will host its Next@Acer 2024 press conference at 14:30 today South African time.
The theme for this year’s event is “Human Intelligence”. With much having been made about Copilot+ in recent months, it appears that Acer too will be showcasing its latest hardware designed to work with AI-focused applications in mind.
If the landing page for Next@Acer is anything to go by, the company is also aiming to highlight its collaborative relationship with Intel, which has been overtaken by the likes of AMD and Qualcomm of late when it comes to AI-powering silicon.
“Everything is possible on your Intel AI PC with Intel Core Ultra processors,” the landing page for Next@Acer outlined. “Experience the future of technical innovation with the latest AI PCs, gaming devices, artificial intelligence advancements and more,” it added.
If you are keen to tune into the press conference at 14:30, you can do so via several avenues – the aforementioned landing page, Acer’s official YouTube channel, its gaming-focused Predator Twitch channel, as well as LinkedIn Event and Meta Live, if you are so inclined.
