Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE version (i9505) available in SA

The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (otherwise known as the i9505 model) has been promised to South Africa ever since the launch on the 27th of April this year. When it was first announced we were told it would be here 6 weeks after launch, which never happened. Then after 13 weeks (the end of July)) we were still left unsatisfied by the networks who were claiming another 4 weeks from then before we would see the phone.

We are happy to report that we’ve just received word from a Vodacom spokesperson that the Galaxy S4 LTE is finally available in South Africa on a Smart M contract at R469 per month with an RRP of R9 299 (which incidentally rather more expensive than the original estimate of R8 899).

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 powered smartphone is just in time to be outdone by the latest batch of Snapdragon 800 equipped phones coming into market now like the Sony Xperia Z1 which also has LTE.
