“This is the year the DStv Content Creator Awards goes continental with the first-event Pan-African Creator Award. This category is for the African continent, celebrating talent in countries outside of South Africa. We’re shining a light on the amazingly talented content creators across Africa who have entertained us for years,” the organisers wrote in an announcement.

The Song of the Year Award, DStv Creator of the Year Award, Emerging Creator Award, Cause Award and Trendsetter Award will be determined by a public vote once the nominees are selected in August.

Creators can enter multiple categories if they are applicable to them but can only submit one entry for each. While the majority of entries are free, awards for agencies and brands will have a small entry fee attached.

Entries must be for content posted online between April 2023 and April 2024. Content submitted will be judged by a panel including brand managers, creative directors and content creators.
