“Nelson Mandela” will be DJing in Soweto, this weekend

According to reports on Twitter and EWN, British actor Idris Elba will be playing a live set at Soweto’s Chaf Pozi, this Saturday.

The actor is in South Africa to promote his film, Nelson Mandela: A Long Walk To Freedom, in which he portrays our former president during the struggle years. Elba is also a musician, DJing under the name 7Wallace or 7Dub, and the set he’s playing in Soweto is part of promoting his debut album, set to release in February.

Tickets for the gig will be sold at the door. R200 for VIP access, while general patrons will be charged R100.
